Guest guest
"Maharaj was a realized master presumably, so what he ate didn't matter, God can do any dream. As for us we need to purify, and learn ahimsa. I am not thin, so even if you have a skinny body, you still don't need to eat meat, that is the flesh off the corpses of dead and animals......ONS...Tony." He ate flesh before he was liberated. For 15 years I gave it all I had to be a vegetarian. Ask my wife and she will say that no one was more determined than I. Every time I failed I would get up off the floor and try and try again. Eventually, after failing and failing I was thinking of taking my own life. We went to an acupuncturist and he said we were too weak to even have acupuncturist. Our blood pressure was 80 over 40. Eventually, someone turned us on to Nisaragadatta and my joy of life returned. Please dont tell me that I did not understand diet as we experienced all the different vegetarian diets including Macrobiotics, which we follow now. At 6 feet tall my weight sometimes got down to 113. They would have rejected me at Auschwitz. I see that it is your limiting beliefs that hold you back and that almost destroyed me. I hope that if you ever start a group, you wont reject flesh eaters. Now, I am eating everything and doing my practice diligently while removing one obstacle after another and destroying one attachment after another; patiently and with love. Realization does not mean much to me, but liberation from the "I" thought and constantly talking to myself does. Namaste, Alton

Or at a pinch non fertilised free range eggs? I have no limited belief on this, I just take the word of Ramana and the Buddha and my own inner feelings on it. Half my family are veges the others are not, it doesn't bother me one bit. ONS...Tony.

ONS...Tony. Did not Buddha send his monks out with begging bowl that were filled with flesh foods also? What you hear about Buddha is hearsay as he never wrote anything. Guest guest
Shall I presume that you would say that Ramana would tell me I am inferior because I am a failed vegetarian and that I could never be liberated as long as I continue to eat flesh? Love you Love us. Alton
