Guest guest
Namaste All, Glo, Continuing with Bertie Russell. One of the demos, sit down, disobedience, I went on had 10,000+ people in it. Many great speakers and all kinds of great movers etc. However as the night wore on the police allowed people to leave without charges. So the resolve of many wavered, as was to be expected, including loud intellectual talkers. Some no doubt had to go home and mind the kids etc. That happened to me on one demo. By the early morning it was believed that Bertie would be let out of prison to address the crowd. So some of us decided to stay. I made the mistake of standing up and exhorting people to 'Wait for Bertie', I was marked down for a good kicking of course. Which I duly received. Anyway the point is that only 300 out of 10,000 were left at the end of the demo, and police still in the thousands. It was a massacre hahahah!! Intellectualising without action is not the Truth. One has to be in tune mentally bodily and actively. I couldn't say that I understood all of the ramifications of the protest, or the concepts, but I did know that if one was in it then one should see it through. Otherwise why bother at all?.......ONS....Tony.
