I can't change anyone's beliefs here and I decided I dont even want

to.

I just want to let others who are unable to do the vegetarian diet

know that you can be liberated from the "I" corrupted program and

become enlightened even though you eat flesh. Nisaragadatta is proof

of that fact. Do not give up the quest, like I almost did when I was

a dietary failure.

Love,

Alton

Namaste Alton,

Were you born hard faced or did you learn it at the baby clinic

hahah..

Do you have proof of the above? How do you know Maharaj

was liberated and not just praneasweraised? How do you

know you can be liberated living on the corpses of dead

animals hahahah....ONS....Tony.

Hi Alton. Don't worry about anything.

It is well known that Ramana Maharshi never criticized anyone for their

diet.

Enlightenment is a matter of the Heart. The fire of devotion that burns with

the light of awareness can manifest like an exploding volcano or be a gently

flowing river.

We make up rules and set up customs and create all these paths, but the

dance of existence dances in its own rhythm. We are that dance.

All paths go somewhere. No path goes nowhere. Paths, places, sights,

perceptions, and indeed all experiences arise from and exist in and subside

back into the Space of Awareness. Like waves rising are not different than

the ocean, all things arising from Awareness are of the nature of Awareness.

Awareness does not come and go but is always Present. It is Home. Home is

where the Heart Is. Jnanis know the Heart to be the Finality of Eternal

Being. A true devotee relishes in the Truth of Self-Knowledge, spontaneously

arising from within into It Self. Welcome all to a.

Namaste Harsha,

Unless you are realised, and talk from that state, you really cannot

say the above. However Ramana did tell Brunton that vegetarianism was

advisable, especially for the new ones on the path. Most of us I would

say. Ramana didn't interfere with free will but one can take the

suggestion of a realised one, Jivanmukti with some

validity.....ONS....Tony.

Hi Alton,

Good for you! You are going to be a valuable part of this group. :)

Absolutely right! Diet is relatively unimportant. As Glo said, what goes

out of the mouth is much more important than what comes into it. :)

Cayce told some people to give up meat. He told others to give up red

meat. And he told others that their bodies needed meat. He did not think

that one diet is right for everyone.

>Do not give up the quest, like I almost did when I was

I realize that it was a profoundly painful event for you, but please

believe that it was an unimportant failure.

Love you,

Dharma

Did you ever hear of the Gallows Laugh? And what it shows? You should

look into Eric Berne, _What Do You Say After You Say Hello?_

Another one of your fixed ideas, Tony! You are so convinced that no one on

this list can possibly be "realised" that you don't even listen.

You would be surprised if you could really see who is here. :)

You're on your own on this one Tony.

Nobody shares this path as perceived by you, and no one ever will.

No new ones to join you, no old ones to walk ahead of you.

Just you.

Don't take anything for granted (not even your assumption that you are

accepting a suggestion from a 'realised' one). Take advice but investigate

what is offered, to validate its validity for yourself. Including my advice.

Including Ramana's advice.

Mira
