Guest guest
Dear Como Kasha, Did you ever study the real Huna? Very Yoga!!I spent some time on that and on one occasion a Maori Left Hand Tofunga, in Hawaiian Kahuna, put a energy eating curse on me. I stopped it before it went past my knees, that's how I learned it wasn't bulldust. Om Namah Sivaya.....Tony.
Guest guest
Tony, My friends used to call me a monomaniac. I only like doing one thing at a time and digging a deep well to get water and not lots of small ones. Right now I have family life still, but some day I will give up my piano, telephones, tv, movies this computer and just assault the self until it surreneders. Dont take that literally. No on the Kunana thing but we once took a course from a Kununa and learned a little about the Hawaiian spitual cosmology. We cant recall her name exactly. I think it was Simeone or something like that. , "Tony O'Clery" <aoclery> wrote: > Dear Como Kasha, > > Did you ever study the real Huna? I think it was Simeone or something like that. Namaste Como, I Ke La'a Kea, In the universal light. It is interesting stuff, I was into it before Vedanta many years ago. The Hawaiians are a bit sus of Haoles though and even more so about intellectuals. It is kept rather quiet if not secretive, except for the touristy stuff, which is just that. Seems to me to be something they inherited from Mu......ONS....Tony.
Guest guest
Hi Alton, >No on the Kunana >thing but we once took a course from a Kununa and learned a little >about the Hawaiian spitual cosmology. The kahunas are shamans... I find much that is useful in huna. I recommend the books by Serge Kahili King. He was not Hawaiian by birth, but managed to find a real kahuna to learn from. The name "Kahili" is a family name by adoption. One book is called _Urban Shaman_, I think... it's a good one to start with. Many huna practitioners are following the earlier authority, Maxwell Long (I think that's his name). He thought there were no kahunas left, but he figured out the tradition from what writings and myths/legends he could find. Not to say that those practitioners can't be helpful. King says it's amazing how much Long got right, considering he never knew a kahuna. ) Love, Dharma

Commercialised yuppie feel good stuff that's all. The real ones wouldn't talk to him about their stuff. NZ and other pacific islands still have real ones, and they aren't strictly shamans at all. Anymore than a yogi is, there are lots of kinds, including left hand ones. Like the one who was having my energy drained from my body. Using spirits who eat mana or thought forms doing it. There ia an island in Hawaii where only natives can go to. Nihei???ONS..Tony. ONS....Tony.
