Re: Re: Lip Service Intellectuality.

Hey Tony, Jan, Harsha and other nutritionists,

Tony mentioned the mucosa-producing characteristics of decomposing meat in

the intestines. I have also noticed that wheat flour can also produce

mucous and other fluids in unusual places. Watery eyes, sniffles, mild

bloating of different parts of the body, etc. Has anyone else seen that?

A Colombian friend of mine who teaches yoga says that in Latin America, the

holistic health practitioners explain this by saying that there are tiny

microscopic parasites in wheat flour.

Love,

Hi Greg,

Thanks for thinking of me as a nutritionist! I have no degrees on the topic

but a lot of practical experience. I have to agree that avoiding wheat and

dairy is beneficial for a lot of people. I take soymilk instead of dairy.

Here are Harsha's food rules which I try to follow if I can. When I stick

to them, they work for me but may not be applicable to everyone.

I remind myself that..........

1. Food should be eaten in moderate quantities, unless Buddha belly is

desired.

2. The less processed a food is, the better it is for you.

3. Raw food (vegetables and fruits) or soaked in water (seeds, legumes,

etc.) are best.

4. The best cooked food is what you cook yourself. Foods which are amenable

to cooking that I like sometimes are sweet potatoes, yams, potatoes,

lentils, legumes, brown rice, etc.

5. Onions and garlic should be soaked in lemon juice overnight before adding

to salad.

6. Raisins taste good after soaking in lemon juice overnight.

I have other information about the ideal diet as well, which will be

revealed on the lecture circuit I am making with Tony.

Love

Harsha

Hi Harsha,

Thanks for your dietary laws! I have found the ones you list, as far as I

have complied with them, to work marvelously for me. Here are some of

mine, partly inconsistent with each other, but I try for a balance. I know

theye are definitely not for everyone! In a jocular vein:

1. Make sure to exercise between the dinner on one day and the dinner on

the next day.

2. Nothing white (except bleu cheese dressing).

3. Mimimize dairy (the above-mentioned dressing and the occasional latte').

3. Nothing from any being with a face or a mother.

4. Minimize the flour products, but I do allow cinnamon rolls and pizza

(not in the same meal).

5. If I do eat flour products, pastry/pizza should be crisp and flaky,

bread should be soft.

6. No brown rice (gums up the stomach, I eat white or basmati).

7. Minimize acidic food and citrus products.

8. Drink lots of water, usually bottled, distilled or oxygenated.

9. Drink only the best root beer (A&W, Hank's, Weinhardt's).

and the hardest rule of all,

10. Don't eat within 3 hours of going to bed at night.

Love,

Greg, you forgot about 'not clinging' to all the following. Full

circle to where this chat began. J.
