Guest guest
Wlm and Tony .. The reference to the Judeo-Christian Gene was appropriate in the context of what I wrote, because there would have been no resonance in my words with those members of this list who come totally from what we in the West might call an Eastern Background .. This is, after all, an international list which draws its membership from many different races and creeds of Man .. For example .. my words would not have resonance to a reader from, for example, Taiwan, who was of pure Chinese extraction. and Dharma .. Gnosis is not possible whilst understanding is desired through the filters of perception of other people's brains. -- Christopher Wynter
Guest guest
Hi Chris, >Gnosis is not possible whilst understanding is desired through the filters >of perception of other people's brains. I haven't the foggiest idea what you mean. Could you try again? >Gnosis is not possible whilst understanding is desired... That much of it makes sense... but how does one desire (understanding or anything else) through the filter of perception of other people's brains? In fact, what the heck does this mean?? >the filter of perception of other people's brains? Love, Dharma
Guest guest
Dharma: >In fact, what the heck does this mean?? >>the filter of perception of other people's brains?<< Ah! Is the perception in the brain or the brain in the perception? And where does that leave the presumed filter? Perception may perceive lots of things, sometimes this way, sometimes the other way around, a continuous altering flux. But perception cannot perceive perception, and perception is not altered by what it perceives. Love, Mira

No path goes nowhere. Paths, places, sights, perceptions, and indeed all experiences arise from and exist in and subside back into the Space of Awareness. Like waves rising are not different than the ocean, all things arising from Awareness are of the nature of Awareness. Awareness does not come and go but is always Present. It is Home. Home is where the Heart Is. Jnanis know the Heart to be the Finality of Eternal Being. A true devotee relishes in the Truth of Self-Knowledge, spontaneously arising from within into It Self.
