Guest guest
Hi Greg: We had many years of Vipassana. After Arica, Integral Yoga, etc. we got into Ram Dass' Gita course on tape and decided to take a three month retreat at Barre, MA. This was twenty of so years ago, and in those days there were not feeding you enough to exist for very long. People would get on the food line and actually horde food, so that the ones near the end hardly got and nourishment. My weight always challenged was getting down to dangerous levels. Jack Kornfield took compassion on my "no soul" and let me cook my brown rice in one of their kitchens. After 11 days they had a meeting and said I could not do it anymore. I had to leave to survive as my weight was then at 115. I am skinny at 135 now, so imagine what kind of a shape I was in. My wife Lee stayed the whole time and we continued with the Vipassana group here in Honolulu for years. The people are very loving but I just did not connect, so eventually left. When I started to read, "I AM THAT", after 30 pages I got quite a rush and knew that I finally found my connection. Hi Joyce: I will contact Rabbi Moss soon. Mostly for my grandson who came in with some spiritual powers. The foremost expert on hypnotism, I cant recall his name right now but can get it for you, tested those with a high trance capacity. He found that they firstly, during a hand clasp have their left thumbs over their right thumb. Also, they can roll their eyes up to only show the whites. My grandson used to meet those perameters. He and our granddaughter have lived with us almost since birth. Being that both myself and my wife did not identify with Judaism, we brought him to the Unitarian church here. He was not interested and walked a few blocks to the Reform Jewish temple nearby. He went there all by himself for years and got interested in the local Chabad temple. After years he got his sister interested and him mother. The sister, our granddaughter is away in Boston in a Chabad school. We are pleased, as females dont go out on dates until they are ready to get married. Since she is quite beautiful we are being spared much unwanted expecteds.
