Guest guest
dear mark....could not follow wim discursively on that one either....i am pretty sure i have read everthing that jesus 'said' or is reputed to have have 'said' or is attributed to him indirectly.....this includes orthodox and heretical or gnostic gospels, etc....as far as i am concerned the core of the teachings of the historical Jesus can be compressed into...."go sell all you have (i.e., be in the world but not of the world), take up your cross (i.e., undersand that your love and your suffering are one), and come follow me (i.e., practice a life of transcendent compassion for all creatures - or, as a buddhist might it, practice bohicitta and become a bodhisattva).....but wim seems to have some other slant....perhaps we should ask him.....HEY, WIMSAN....WHAT DID YOU MEAN?......^^~~~~~~ > Hey Sahajman! No path goes nowhere. Paths, places, sights, perceptions, and indeed all experiences arise from and exist in and subside back into the Space of Awareness. Like waves rising are not different than the ocean, all things arising from Awareness are of the nature of Awareness. Awareness does not come and go but is always Present. It is Home. Home is where the Heart Is. Jnanis know the Heart to be the Finality of Eternal Being. A true devotee relishes in the Truth of Self-Knowledge, spontaneously arising from within into It Self. Guest guest
Dear Mark and Mark Hold me to it that I answer at length. I do not have much time at the moment, but then there is plenty of time and when we run out... there is always eternity... (((((((((((((!))))))))))))) Tony quoted his best quote ever to , and...he did let it stand: 'Asatoma sath gamaya, tamasoma jyotir gamaya, mrityorma amritam gamaya,' >From the unreal lead to the real, from darkness lead me to light, from death, lead me to immortality. First and foremost... I love Jesus the Christ... Without him I would not be that... I am. I have no axe to grind with Christianity in any of its forms and formulations. Without it I would not be that... I am. What were the last words that Jesus said on the cross? The evangelists hardly dared to translate them? The translation as offered may well be a later interpolation. A lot has been written about those last words... most of it skating around the issue. I have to leave it at this... breakfast waiting... Nothing should stop anybody from "gnoti seauton" More to follow... nothing endangering Jesus message...
