The strength is different, because of size, but the life-force is the same. As our spiritual knowledge grows, our identification with an individual body-mind diminishes, and our consciousness expands into universal consciousness. I decided not to read the papers and magazines but I still have to watch the Public TV news hours and videos with my wife, to keep a loving relationship going, but someday that will go too. It actually just gradually disappeared. Oh, I have interest in the world, yes also the world of the news media. When going to the dentist or family doctor, I will indeed read the magazines while waiting... always find it captivating... but it cannot *taint* reality. In my case it started with my wife not turning TV on for the news... and I fell in line ... ahum... :-) And yes we watch videos... not too many... but there are great movies and art shows, music, theatre.
