Hi Dan,

Still, it seems the pointer "look inward" can be helpful,

because "inward" is generally ignored and "outward" gets all the

attention.

Eventually it becomes clear that there isn't an inside or an outside

to anything, but there's no denying the usefulness of "introspection"

in clearing up common misperceptions.

Thousands of entities appear to take birth and die every day... yet

the consciousness "in which" this appearance occurs isn't born and

can't die.

Yes, as if "I were making the thoughts happen" or "thoughts are

occurring to me." Similarly, as if "I am doing something"

or "actions happen to me."

Thoughts appear to arise and subside, actions appear to take place...

but there's no 'center' to these, no location in time or space.

True... perhaps it has been called "apperception" in order to

distinguish it from "perception" :-).

Nowhere in particular... :-). It seems the "in particular" deserves

special emphasis.

Ahh, "There is only ..." -- 'my' favorite mode of expression ;-).

Love,
