Guest guest
Dear Tony, A couple things you may or may not be aware of -- (1) If there were any "Realized Beings" on this list or any other Internet list, it is almost a certainty they will not reveal themselves as such -- one reason is that a "Realized Being" does not see themselves as such, but as Pure Awareness only. Perhaps it could happen in "face to face Satsangh," but on a mailing list? I don't think so. Therefore, you have no basis or criteria to judge. Actually there are no "beings" here at all, but only postings ;-). But that's just another way of looking at it. (2) Nisargadatta Maharaj ate meat and smoked cigarettes, and he is generally recognized as "Realized." Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche (an enlightened Tibetan monk) was a heavy drinker. Also, most sages sit upon a piece of deerskin (of course, the deer was killed). You cannot fairly judge the actions of others, because actions simply occur -- there is no "doer" thereof. Also the "Realized Being" is beyond karma and its effects. (3) It is not your job to expose hypocrisy on this list. Anyone with a degree of insight will realize that hypocrisy is (to some degree) inherent in human nature, at least until "Realization" -- and it is important not to feel guilt or shame past events (and it is *always* of the past). If it is in the fates for people to become aware of their hypocrisies, they will do so with or without your help. (4) Since you yourself said "I am not Realized," then who are you to tell others what is right and what is wrong, when you yourself are not an "Enlightened Being?" Let he who lives in glass houses refrain from throwing stones! Namaskaar... Joy and Peace, Omkara
