Guest guest
> Ah, the mirror's up -- since Tim's expression was so distinctly *un*cluttered there is no other clutter you could possibly be referring to other than what you see in your own reflection! Yes, but...where else could one encounter such delicious pedantry and utter ridiculousness so consistent in expression? Attempting to have discussion with fixation is like walking through mud. So far, everyone has been sucked in! And no one likes mud on their feet. Congratulations, Tony, you have finally transcended the incessantly pedantic and have now managed to embody the utterly ridiculous -- all the while chiding others for your own invention: "verbal non- dualism." Jai Guruji Wannabe! :-)
Guest guest
, "Joyce Short" <insight@s...> snip. Namaste All, Actually I had many chances to be a teacher on this but refused. The times that I did give public talks, or published articles, were given as personal favours to friends who had requested. I have no desire to be a guru or run a list with my name on, or any other's name on. I am not qualified to do this, I am amazed at those that do. I write here and other lists and that is like chatting, and it isn't that deep. Linda hit the nail on the head about my missives. Seva and participaction is necessary. If you really want to see God while your waiting for your 'going within' results, then look at any person or animal. Plus a personal sadhana is necessary otherwise it is just sterile intellectual enquiry, (not 'Self enquiry'), and Vndism. Many have read of, if not realised, the ultimate truth, that there is non but Nirguna/Nirvana but it is still real whilst one is in it. One doesn't have to 'believe' it but one has to do the karma. Unless Sri Sankaracharya is wrong and I highly doubt that. Ramana, Buddha and others assume a certain amount of spiritual awareness and sadhana. Read about them!!!!And their advice and tenets and you will see I have not said anything different, or contradictory. My mirror is not clean, but I know when I finally clean the mirror,'awareness sheath'. I will find no mirror at all. In the meantime being helped by the projected illusion of Saguna Brahman is fine with me. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. A million lifetimes of Vndism will not achieve anything without a purified vijnanamayakosa or whatever name you want to allocate. This all about purifying vibrations. The body, the mind, the sheaths. Om Namah Sivaya.....Tony.

Ah, but the operative assumption is that these Famous Dead Guys[tm] spoke experientially. On the other hand one gets the clear impression of pure parroting from your schtick. What distinguishes the pedant from the guru is not knowledge, it is authenticity. Brahman has no "tenets." > > My mirror is not clean, Confession noted, yet the compulsion to instruct remains. > but I know when I finally clean the > mirror,'awareness sheath'.
