It's right there in its absence in the very middle of your own quote: (43) the still and silent present in the 42 "Pontiac" and the 44 "lap". (43) is obviously "on". And if that weren't enough take a look at the other numbers, 41 is 50-9. Our attention is returned to 41 by the symetrical placement of the number 9 after the 42 (43) 44 triad. Contuing to spiral out from the still centre of th quote, "on" (43) finally we end at "second" or 2 which we add to the "41" at the beginning (because we just subtracted 9 from 50 and additions and subtractions must be balanced) and so both perifery and core are "43". It couldn't be any plainer. And who is the "shoemaker" who settles for second? Hmmm? The shoemaker who interposes artifice between toes and earth.
