The end result is what matters, if genuine and good. A strong rajasic warning can have a sattwic result, as did Jesus whipping the money lenders out of the temple. There is no point in pollyana words, if Rome and sentient beings burn. It is an intellectual device to prevent criticism of one's unholy desires and weaknesses. People have to face them, if a smack on the head wakes them up well good!! Liberation or any successful yoga requires the lessening of attachment and desires, such as meat eating, intoxicating drink, tamasic/rajasic food etc. Ask anyone the Buddha, Ramana etc. It is the consciousness behind the word and its final intent that is important, not disturbing people's middle class sensibilities and desires and addictions.
