Guest guest
The dictionary may be restrictive to the literal meaning of nastikas. When I did a google search, it turns out almost any religion that does not uphold strict Brahmanism and the Vedas was considered by them to be nastika. This includes Jainism, Buddhism, etc...it was pretty much a cultural, caste thing originally. Obviously, this sort of term has many possible implications! Are all Vndists "nasty nastikas"?? This is all so bad its getting hilarious. Glo Well, just seems a bit of kamma-bhava to me compounded by upapatti-bhava. Upadana may be an Inducement to upanissaya as well as kamupadana. But really the entire discussion seems to be one of silabbatupadana. This is likely occurring because of post-nascent pacchajata-paccaya with ahara as a support. This might be an explanation of why Vndists and may be nasty-nastikas, but then again there is always the explanation summed up in vedana-paccaya tanha or craving as a condition of Decisive Support by way of Object which as you know is arammananupanissanaya. Flo As usual, I will take your word for it! Once we get everything properly labeled, whatever shall we DO with it? Elo PS Might one presume the nastikas would write nasty poetry? Would it be better or worse than pig people's pig poetry? I figure you Vndists would be the experts, since you specialize in words. Maybe their sadhana is writing bad poetry?
