Vast

Silence, endless silence

in a space more vast

that the infinite,

unchanging, changing

moving, unmoving

In this vortex

beyond breath,

beyond speech,

beyond thought.

This primal essence of

beginning.

This obdurate stillness of

completion.

Lying at the nexus

wherein the lines

of heart and mind

never meet.
