Guest guest
First some maybe not exact quotes from Nisaragadatta. " You must be able to take pain" " The reactions neutralize the actions and in the end it's as if nothing is happening" Why do some sages and saints and realized beings experience such pain instead of being medicated? Do they take on the pain and suffering of those who come in contact with them, and if they do, dont they have to experience the pain for them? Do we have to pay back the portion of pain that we inflicted on other sentient beings? Some of my teachers said yes. When I decided to eat flesh again I said to myself that if the above statement was actually true, that I would accept the consequences of my actions with recriminations. Love that pain, Alton
