She'll start charging overweight fees shortly and enforce mandatory weight-watchers diets. Mira
Guest guest
This is very good material, especially the description of "after" Awakening: http://awakening.hjem.netact.dk/discovery.htm#afterwards "Enlightenment" is not some 'event' where suddenly everything appears as an undifferentiated blob of light. There is still "post- Realization work" that happens, mostly clearing out of remaining vasanas or conditionings. Luckily, much of that is 'automatic' and spontaneous. Resting as the 'center' rather than thrashing around on the 'periphery', " " in fact takes care of everything, and it can be seen that vasanas (past conditionings) are getting thrown off constantly. Also necessary is for understanding to be "integrated" in daily life, otherwise there is conflict between what is 'perceived' and what is 'Known'. The puzzle of multiplicity remains unsolved and it seems there is no solution to it as long as the body lives... the appearance of duality does not just "fall away" upon "enlightenment" - - thought still "wants to participate" in what is "beyond thought" -- it doesn't work that way. It is more fantastic contradictory claims. Cleaning out remaining vasanas and samskaras? Who cleans them? Who is connected to them? If a person becomes a non person or realised one, then all the vasanas and samskaras are, 'fried'. The amount of codswallop in all those that claim awakening is amazing, no wonder there are so many frauds, and mugs to follow them. There are three types of awakening. 1. A flash like walking down the street. 2. Samadhi with attributes, which is temporary. 3. Samadhis without attributes which is permanent. Considering there are a large body of teachings from saints and sages, why do these poseurs or deluded people keep popping up? Writing on the internet and setting up websites no less!!!!!hahahahahahahahahahahaha. Give me a break!!! It's rubbish.....ONS...Tony. Guest guest
Hi all, I enjoyed reading the web site a lot too. This is good I think: "Perhaps the best way to describe this is to use the analogy of a mirror, the unconditioned awareness being the mirror and conditioned phenomena beings images reflected in the mirror. The mirror doesn't change because reflections arise. It does not dwell upon the reflections, yet the reflections exists nowhere apart from the mirror. The are the mirror, yet the mirror isn't the reflections." I also like what he has to say about the cyber sangha, the accessibility for those who seek, even young ones like this guy who'd normally not find their way into a monastery and barely an ashram. Thanks Jerry for posting it to us. , "Omkara" <coresite@h...> wrote: > "Enlightenment" is not some 'event' where suddenly everything appears > as an undifferentiated blob of light. Ah... "when in panic fear and doubt, run in circles scream and shout". When the first brick has been pried loose, there is nothing stopping the rest from going, over time. Some ppl have at this point felt themselves going too fast and wanting to take the scenic route. > Also necessary is for understanding to be "integrated" in daily life, > otherwise there is conflict between what is 'perceived' and what > is 'Known'. Agreed. A.
