Guest guest
Hi Dan, Indeed, even the character realizing he/she is in a movie is "part of the movie" -- and "whatever happens next" to that character is also part of the movie. Any thoughts, speculations or words about 'something outside the movie' are scripted into the movie. Is there then no escape from the movie? Correct! Is there nothing outside the movie? Correct! Is there no escape whatsoever? None. So what "happens" when the film character understands all of the above with clarity and "just gives up" or surrenders to the utter futility of the whole thing? Only one thing's for sure: Anything that could be said is part of the movie ;-).
