It can be a process of becoming. Jesus repeatedly spoke of himself as the "son of (the) man". Perhaps he meant that he, or you or me as identified is not the real human being, but a creature of the real. It could be that all of us worship something, whether we know it or not. love, andrew
Guest guest
white wolfe remembers the last time he went to worship...the divine presence was immanent and eminent in all present....sweet love was everywhere....in the stained glass, in the chant, in the incense, in the sacraments, in the kiss of peace from the sweet lady with the silver-blue hair who is and remains a nameless one expressing love...these things may or may not all be delusions but who wants to live in a an empty cell devoid of truth and beauty ...i embrace the buddha, i am embrace the dharma, i am embrace the sangha....worship is a communal act of drawing close to others is a spirit of love....the ritual, the music, the art....these are mere catalysts to open the closed doors of the mind and heart.....to allow the divine to circulate through one....to cease talking about and to touch and be touched by the infinite revealing itself in the finite....what lies forever and always beyond and to surrender humbly to a consciousness that is always higher and higher than it was even as it remains what it will be.....Namaste....^^~~~~~~ further up and further in, white wolfe andrew macnab <a.macnab <> Monday, July 02, 2001 4:29 AM Dan/ Re: Worship > Daniel Berkow wrote: > > > > To worship, one must externalize. > > Typically, what is externalized is > > one's own "ideals" ... > > > > Worshipping one's own projection > > is just another way to avoid > > "being" ... > > > > What humans call spirituality > > has little to do with "reality" ... > > > > "Reality" being without an external > > place projected, and thus, without > > an "inner place" to exist ... > > > > Namaste, > > Dan > > > > Or, worship can happen after > recognition that I as I think > myself to be is a 'projection', > a creature of reality. > It can be a process of becoming. > Jesus repeatedly spoke of himself > as the "son of (the) man". > Perhaps he meant > that he, or you or me as identified > is not the real human being, but a > creature of the real. > > It could be that all of us worship > something, whether we know it or not. > > > love, > andrew > > /join > > > > > > All paths go somewhere. No path goes nowhere. Paths, places, sights, perceptions, and indeed all experiences arise from and exist in and subside back into the Space of Awareness. Like waves rising are not different than the ocean, all things arising from Awareness are of the nature of Awareness. Awareness does not come and go but is always Present. It is Home. Home is where the Heart Is. Jnanis know the Heart to be the Finality of Eternal Being. A true devotee relishes in the Truth of Self-Knowledge, spontaneously arising from within into It Self.
