Sitting quietly, as usual

waiting for the sun to rise.

Feeling the first glow of the silent suchness,

my ego was busily engaged in the profound

contemplations of doing the laundry,

when a bee landed on my nose.

"Who are you" I asked?

"I am the bane of sages!

The guard of the gates of paradise!

The mountain too high!

The river too wide!

I am the countless pains and fears

that trap you in this sodden flesh

FOREVER!"

"Better you should help me figure out

my laundry" I said, and gave it the problem.

While it flew away screaming,

the sun and I watched

each other rising

in silence.

hmmm...., the sodden, the glowing, the fecund, the glorious

flesh....we do not enter paradise without the flesh....we sit as

flesh in eden and allow our desire for the past to oxidize the

eternal present until another piece of flesh carries our mental

concepts away on sodden buzzing wings....i want no other paradise

than this paradise with its dirty laundry and toilets....and liquid

sunshine making my entire sodden universe shine and glisten with

liquid golden brilliance.....thank you MM for this wonderful poem to

meditate upon.....^^~~~~

further up and further in,
