Guest guest
Hi Tony, Thanks. this helps a lot (I desire to understand where you're comin' from) Namaste All, A pure desire is just a reflection of the original desire to project the appearance of the material world. It is the desire of sacrifice. ONS....Tony. I've tended to think of the phrase "a pure desire" as meaning a desire which is had without simultaneously or at least in rapid succession, in a potentially repetitive, in fact habitual, fashion also having an opposing, or perhaps a number of opposing (it's not always a "duality", sometimes it's a triple or quadrupal, or even a pentupal - in fact it's usually pent up, but I stray) desires. So a pure desire is a desire that is not cancelled out by its "anti-desire", releasing their mutual mass in a blinding flash of light and wiping out the entire population of Cincinnatti, at least the entire human... but again, I stray as I am sometimes wont.) It's the inability to decide on one desire that makes desire impure, as I use the language. The idea that impurity is also, or even more so, the attribute that the desire is some particular desire (in common usage, that the desire is for something selfish, but your definition is also a particular desire, - a desire to project the appearance of the material world.) anyway, thanks Love, Mark
