Hello Tony,

I appreciate your coining the term "vnd-ist." I think it is apt, clever,

and I've come to use it myself. I agree with you about the verbal

talk-stuff versus what it takes to do more than talk. People seek true

transformation, whereas vnd-ism provides only translation. There's often a

nihilistic trait to some vnd-ism. There are many vnd-ists around. Some of

my best friends, on the Internet and in "real life," are vnd-ists. Thank

you for the term.

On this list () however, vnd-ism is not a problem. This list

in principle and largely in practice, is about being together in love and

in truth. In this list, people express their love and devotion to their

favorite teacher, teaching, yoga, text, sutra, etc. You don't hear a lot

of talk like "there's nothing to be devoted to, and no one to be devoted."

This list doesn't really need your frequent reminders of the evils of

vnd-ism. Probably everyone here has gotten your message about this.

Also unnecessary are the pointed, personal, insulting remarks about/to jb.

You have made your point. It's not within the guidelines of

. If you wish to discuss something with jb, you can write

him, I'm sure. Who knows what may come of a more personal, off-line

interaction?

If you take this into consideration, thanks!

With love,

--Greg

Tony, if you honestly see that

post as some kind of change or

improvement in your demeanor

vis a vis this satsangha, I

seriously suggest you consider

posting elsewhere. Personal

attacks are simply not

appropriate here, no matter

how they are phrased.

Are you accusing me of attacking,

spying, and lying, Tony? I just

want to be sure "I get it" before

proceeding any further.

OK -- when you write something

like "you can say what you want,"

etc. the question is only natural.

> However proceed wherever you want.

The wheels are already rotating.

> As I

> can't mention their names you will have to guess

These "names" are not at issue.

*Your* activity on *this* list

-- not NDS -- is.
