So could it be that you too have been judged in what must have felt as an "impersonal" way? Cyber-satsangh is rather impersonal - that can't be changed. Guest guest
Failing to sugar-coat is not the issue. failure to behave as per the list founder's vision of a satsangh is. Many of us (including some of the moderators) have a propensity to "tell it like it is" similar to the trait Tony ascribes to himself, but in Harshadeva's house we manage to behave according to his wishes. That, and only that, is at issue here. There are plenty of venues where free speech trumps anyone's concept of ahimsa, isn't one of them. Papa swan OM, you are still on to the moderators are you? Problem with authority eh? :-) Is it *sugar* coated enough when I tell you that you already sound like a *bitter* disgruntled person, who won't take long to turn *sour*... ? And by the sound of it, Alton, let's for the sake of argument assume that Tony does not come back... Don't worry, we have now found a replacement in papa_swan OM who we can ignore to our hearts content. :-) If I'm not careful I'll be like king Midas and his gold, when I touched Tony I turned into Tony, now I'm touching papa I'm turning into papa... Guest guest
Dear Liszt, oh now we are in really trouble. I meant Dear List. Franz will now stop waiting in the grave for Christ to come back and appear on the Harsha list to answer this. He will attract quite a bit more disruptiveness than Tony has, because all those ladies that he had illecit affairs with and wrecked their lives, will want to confront Franz. What I wanted to say before the above is; Is this group turning into an exclusive club that wont let Jews and Blacks here or some similar groups or individuals? Dear Wim: Please reconsider about Tony and apologize to Papa or you might loose me too. I will still love you and communicate with you in personal email though. Guest guest
No, I don't think so, although he might have asked Wim to consider changing the tone of his posts to avoid them being received as a personal attack. Confrontation is simply not on the menu here, as per Harsha's wishes. For some of us, myself included, compliance is occasionally difficult because a willingness to confront is seemingly intrinsic to our incarnations. Guest guest
In some cases, confrontation is far more compassionate than letting an issue blow over (or ignoring it, or downplaying it) in the interest of "Ahimsa." When politesse gets in the way of compassion, it has outlived its 'usefulness'. Admittedly, sometimes this fact is "abused" by those who enjoy confrontation simply for the adrenal gland stimulation it provides. I can think of a few specific examples (nobody currently posting in , but a few who post on NDS and in other forums come to mind). Also unfortunately, it's often difficult for onlookers to tell the difference between "confrontation as compassion" and "confrontation as confrontation," further obfuscating the issue. Guest guest
I agree with you, Tim, but confrontation is a no-no here regardless of motive unless/until Harsha says otherwise. That's just the way it is.
