If you joined, and I forgot, I ask for understanding for my really bad memory. Since I returned I have been aware of some difficulties that took place here while I was away, and an impression that you had left because of them. (Someone in the last post said I was fortunate to have taken a vacation...I am glad I missed the fracas.) I have seen these difficulties before; hmmm...used to crop up all the time in the aol New Age room. I would try my best to divert people's attention from needlessly arguing, to no avail. Sometimes I would :::walk around waving sweet scented smoking sage smudging stick::: ; sometimes I would sing... :::a little bit of sunshine, a little bit of rain, keeps this old world turning 'round again...::: ah, but I am the only one such actions usually helped. Many of the others were determined to continue. If I have misunderstood what may have happened here, since I wasn't here, I apologize to all. In any case, thank you for sharing the info and web address about the kriya yoga, and, for whatever it is worth, I don't believe you are overstaying at all. All most lists really do if I become opemly involved with from posting.. present to me intellectual arguments from various agendas. Will gladly give you an example.. when someone who knows me not from a hole in the ground assumed he was going to have some sport "quite an assumption" of ego that I was being seen by this individual as one to take Tony`s place. I think someone made an excellant posting today concerning fat egos in a diet subject. Tis true. Discussions are fine and there are many ones here posting from love and good will including this individual in more instances than not. Also for too long.. loved all ego challenges and had an insatiate appetite to be pac man in these sort of games once started. But perhaps not too soon realized was a waste of energy only going back to from whence it came. The "fracas" so to speak was only self control and no self control in some entertainment. Where ever there be an audience there will always be differant plays and as many wanna be stars. Several did`nt like the way I came on the list here but I still hold to what I originally said. But when weighed and looked at I was only making a judgement call on a judgement call.. as only another voice. And before any one jumps again on that.. Dear papa swan, Heavens, there is no need to apologize simply for having a different opinion! I can easily see how it might look to someone new, like coming in on the middle of a family dispute with no idea of the history. And even those who were here all along had different opinions. So be at ease with that, and please do stick around. The last guy who was just popping in and not staying was Wim. Keeping the peace here in no way depends on any expectation of consensus, group think, or any ideas being beyond criticism. Rather it is hoped that people can discuss different perspectives in a civilized way, with good manners, and with respect for diversity of other's religions, beliefs & etc. On the other hand, if moderators pounced on each and every incident of a misstep, the cure might be worse than the disease. It would be ridiculous to expect such perfection, seeing how human communication usually goes. So we are all doing our best here to find some balance. The best advice I ever heard on this was to be the change you wish to see, and offer what seems lacking to you. Golly, I think Lobster said that about 4 years ago. I was mainly speaking in answer to Linda`s post as I very much had the impression she may have have been one disturbed from as she put it "the fracus". Perhaps you did not understand..the apology was for my setting the stage if you read the whole email instead of snipping it. Will abide by the selected limitations for who may speak to be in the good graces of the moderators. And apologize again to Linda and the others who may have been disturbed by "the fracus".
