The Wind

Throughout

this place and time

blows an invisible wind

of generous attribution.

Moving, even now,

around and through you,

it is an answer so vast

that it suffuses every question

with perfect understanding

and engulfs every sorrow

with joy.

On it

is carried the breath

of every saint

and the essence

of every loving heart.

The capacity to deny it

may be the single

greatest tragedy

of the human condition.

And yet, even this

is as it
