Guest guest
Dear Glo, That's a nice quote, and reminds here of 'conditioning' discussed in various contexts (J. Krishnamurti, Tantra, others). i suspect Jung is referring more to a sort of "psychological enlightenment" involving bringing up "old stuff" (especially emotional 'stuff') swept under the carpet and exposing it to the light of day. Descriptions of so-called "spiritual" enlightenment usually (also) include an element of what could be called "apperception" or "that which is outside of thought yet includes thought" -- the "mystical" aspect of mysticism, something that isn't well documented or understood because documentation and (mental) understanding don't communicate what it is.
