Is there more than one soul? If so, where's the evidence? If not, what 'journeying' does the Self do? Namaste, Omkara

Tim answered: > Is there more than one soul? If so, where's the evidence? If not, > what 'journeying' does the Self do? I hardly ever use the word soul in the ordinary sense, I might use it for "history" reasons. Although, I have one very special reason to use the word "soul", having to do with the husband's role during pregnancy of his spouse... The lady taking care of the more physical aspects ("gross" in its most beautiful meaning) of a new being, and the man taking care of the more subtle aspects. (note: not qualitatively better or more elevated.) I have only once broached this subject... As far as reactions to that, it seems one is not ready for it. I will only discuss this when I am sure there is not going to be any arguing on this... this is too beautiful. Sorry to have to say it this way. Maybe, this meager information gets some of us to rediscover this beautiful participation of man in the integrative gestation phase of a divine human being. Man even have a special mudra for this. Men can discover that they are participating in the creation of new life as well, more than just providing sperm and provision for sustenance and maintenance. Hee hee hee there is still hope for man This aside, even though I have left and can leave the body easily, mostly in the sense of OBEs and NDEs and I have "death 'ahum' memories" I never resorted to having to use the ordinary soul concept. No matter what, I never lose integrity in any of these dynamics. Actually, I can not say that my soul ever left or leaves my body. This whole notion is actually quite silly... but alright. It is all a manner of speaking... Love, Wim
