Dear Friends of the awakening, Interesting components of self. :-) The sacred (up tight yogi) and the less than perfected ashram floor blesser. Then the combining of intent and real being. In the component of the traveller it is best to show respect, act with the most consideration and behave in a way that exemplifies an idealised spirituality. For purposes of illustration, breaking conventions (what some see as unnecessary conflict) may develop an understanding of how our mind discriminates, prefers, labels, associates, misinterprets, jumps to delusions and premature conclusions etc . . . For example I was once washing my teeth next to a fellow retreatant at a Theravadin monastery. Being in a condition of heightened awareness is not something too unusual. For some it is a conscious practice and with great personal pride at his depth of understanding my fellow retreatrant was engaging in 'mindful teeth cleaning'. Meanwhile next to him was (from his perspective) someone cleaning their teeth in total oblivion. However that person was the most aware Lobster Cruxstatious not having to make any conscious effort to do anything. And Lo and Behold (as it is written in holy text) i. The cruxstatious did spit out the tooth paste in a noisy and uncouth manner. ii. The concentrated awareness of the mindful one was broken. iii. 'How uncouth is this fellow compared to me a mindful and worthy follower of the Dharmic awareness', thought the worthy one. iv. 'If only he could learn and percieve real awareness.' v. Thus are the shallow exposed (to themselves on a deeper level) and the teeth of the cruxstatious polished and exposed :-) .. . . and the moral of this story is . . . Lobster :-) http://pages.britishlibrary.net/lobster/exxo/
