Guest guest
Gloria, Glee and Glo, This Kali and Jung talk is all very fine, but I want to know is it Gloria, Glo or Glee? My favorite Jung story, in light of our mutual common concerns, is this: Jung was having his initial session with a new patient. He asked the patient to tell him one of his dreams. The patient said,"I don't dream". Jung replied, "Now you will". Despite his writings to the contrary, I think Jung was a believer in Kundalini and saw himself as one of her initiators. This seems like an important revelation until one considers, "Is it Gloria, Glee or Glo?" Beside that question, all else pales. yours in the bonds, eric , "Gloria Lee" <glee@i...> wrote: > Dear Eric, > > Mine is a far more mundane observation than the sort Dan makes, but is in relation to the Jung quotes on darkness. > > Jung objected to Freud's characterization of the unconscious as only this blind instinct, or drives that required control by the ego and superego. The "unconscious" was a rich source of wisdom and intelligence, sending messages in dreams and symbol form to balance and inform the ego driven, more civilized, ie. conditioned by culture, conscious personality towards a healthier wholeness. And his exploration into the collective unconscious was as mystical a journey as any religious paradigm has ever depicted. His more 'positive' perspective on the unconscious was simply a part of a vision of wholeness that was at least verging on nondual. > > So your insight about Kali as creative matrix would be very much in harmony with that Jungian perpective. Dan will probably remind us none of this is real, but as long as our imagination is playing with imagery and concepts..these are pretty cool ones. Darkness loses its usual association with evil and becomes a servant of awareness. > > Tripping along with you, > Gloria > > > > ..
Guest guest
****** Hi, you are so funny...and I mean that in the best possible way, I love people who make me laugh. If I pass your initiation, will you speak Jungian to me? GLee is just my inital and last name, like your EBlackstead. No one actually calls me that. And you people with short names, don't need nicknames, what would we call you - E? or Er? I know a guy everyone calls Blackie, and its short for his last name, but my intuition tells me you would despise this. What I think will answer your question best is the fact that no one ever thought to call me Glo till I was 47. Here is your moment of Jung appropriate to today's topic. Mistakes are, after all, the foundations of truth, and if a man does not know what a thing is, it is at least an increase in knowledge if he knows what it is not. Love, gloria PS. You know a lot more than you are saying, don't you? - EBlackstead (AT) cs (DOT) com Monday, July 23, 2001 4:46 AM Re: Kali and Jung Gloria, Glee and Glo,This Kali and Jung talk is all very fine, but I want to know is it Gloria, Glo or Glee?My favorite Jung story, in light of our mutual common concerns, is this: Jung was having his initial session with a new patient. Guest guest
Glo, Actually my friends call me Black, or jocularly, Mr. Black, but eric is probably better online. I can imagine Clint Eastwood saying, "Play Jung for me." I find myself wanting to ask, "Do you Jung? I mean, I Jung. Do you Jung?" Still Jung enough to care, eric Ps. Mistakes are, after all, the foundation of truth. I like that. , "Gloria Lee" <glee@i...> wrote: > ****** > > > Hi, you are so funny...and I mean that in the best possible way, I love people who make me laugh.
