Goddess is bigger than all of our ideas about religion, including yours and mine. Yours is more true than mine? How can you know? This is how holy wars get started.. don't go there! >...'slave' is an emotion- >packed word that defines your experience to you... Yes! It is an emotion packed word! Yes! Precisely! Therein lies its value and power! What emotions does it stir in you? Would it stir those emotions if it were not true for you, on some level? To me it is a brilliant, rich, juicy word. It faces reality head on! It is a playful delightful word, because it awakens perceptions of bondage, which is the first step to freedom! The slaves you mean, know that they are slaves, so they can have a hope and dream of freedom. Most people do not realize they are slaves, so they have no chance of freedom. They do not see the walls of their prison, to dream of what may lie beyond. Bob Dylan said it "everybody gotta serve somebody".. or some thing. Everyone is a slave! Wage slaves, love slaves, materialism slaves, cultural programming slaves, karma slaves, ego slaves, slaves to religion, to limiting beliefs and dogma.. dare I say it, amhisa slaves! LOL!! What kind of ball and chain defines your attachments? You have to see it, own it and take responsibility for it, before you can cast it off and be free. >your opinion and >your perception. The word then would define you more >than 'chela'...imho... >********************** Sure! I never had a talent for languages.. or poetry.. I manage about a dozen sanskrit words and then my ADD brain refuses to absorb more. Goddess did it! In my DNA.. Not complaining, my cup runneth over.. It is my talent, to put things into bone simple pop culture language that any idiot can understand. Most westerners don't know the word, "chela", but tell them "slave" and watch all the issues surface to be surrendered! If they are not ready to surrender that stuff, silly attitudes about a *word* then most likely they are not ready for Kundalini, either.. Not ready to give up all attachments and surrender everything they think is true.. Natural selection in action! Other Gurus can have chelas.. I teach total surrender to Shakti. Blissful slavery. >Your > > free will is a matter choice. A slave is someone who has no choice. There is always a choice.. Free Will is Goddess Law. My slaves make a choice to become slaves. You make a choice to react to that idea.. or don't you? Are you a slave to a knee jerk reflex emotional reaction to the word "slave"? ROTFLOL!! Why? Rhetorical question, it is your choice to look within, or not.. (shrug, laugh, don't care..) Slaves may choose to attempt escape.. or in slavery, discover freedom.. like Victor Frankl .. a world famous author and psychiatrist who became enlightened in a Nazi concentration camp, when he realized that no matter what the Nazis did to his body, they could not restrict his mind. Beauty! Through bondage he found freedom! In pain he discovered bliss. This is the essence of the Tantra that I teach. We are all mind slaves, and until we own that basic truth, there can be no chance of escape. Owning it fully, manifesting it with the body as well as the mind brings it to light quicker. This is the power of ritual. Thought, word, deed is stronger than thought alone. Ego can argue in/with your mind all day and get nowhere.. but where the body goes the mind follows. Try it yourself. Put your body into the Muslim prayer position of total submission and surrender and see how your mind reacts. Force your body into stillness of a Zen-sit, and the Master will whack you with a cane if you move.. what kind of bondage is that? Nobody can restrict your mind, but you.. it is a choice to become a mind-slave. A choice we make when we are very young, slaves of our parents approval. It is a choice to escape.. or to turn your life over to the Guru to play Moses and lead you out of bondage. It is your choice to become a slave to Goddess, to your own Spirit Self, and therein find freedom! > > > > Om Santi ... > > Yogini Sakti >********************* >Perfect Shakti....there is a big difference...a slave cannot walk >away by definition and is bound and chained under penalty of death >and without free will... I don't see the comparison either.... Ah, Kundalini slaves! Slaves of Shakti! Surrender or suffer! LOL!! No escape, once the fire starts, but ego death will set you free .. Shall I sing a song of my joy to be a slave to Goddess? I am not a poet, but let me try.. Radiant Goddess Shakti, your chains have set me free! So radiant to be, bound in the chains of love by the grace and mercy of thy firey kundalini! a slave in Heaven at your feet so infinitely sweet! For I was king of hell when in Free Will I did dwell trapped in the illusion a mind slave of delusion Gladly I surrender Let Thy Will be done! Long will I remember the joy of being One! Take me for thy slave, and never let me go my free will I gave Your ecstasy to know! Yes, really quite awful poetry.. Note: I did not introduce this word into this thread.. it was from Gloria's Eckhart quote.. and he used it in the context of freeing oneself from slavery of the mind. >Hugs...Syena. hugs for you both! blessings! It is enthusiastic and energetic and it rhymes! Can't beat that. I can see you singing it at a Shakti Rock and Roll show! Keep at it. Don't suppress your talent. The Goddess has many faces. One of them is Sarswati. The Goddess of Wisdom. Those who are touched by Her become creative in expression of knowledge and universal truths. Trite poems can be part of the package deal! :-). I have written a few myself. And you remember discussions on Gopi Krishna from the old days and how Kurt liked Gopi's poetry! By the way, the term "Chela" is not a direct equivalent of the word "Slave." Guru-Chela relationship is more like a mentor-mentee relationship except at a much deeper and a subtler level. I like the word "Chela." I grew up with the word. It is a special and a sweet word in the spiritual paradigm. Of course, it can be used in a derogatory way as well, depending on the context. Just call me Mr. Chela Man! :-). Love to all Harsha
