Guest guest
>> but in the way you mean it tis crap Angelique...prove it. << Hi Senya, ah, I think I was perhaps away on my long spring/summer trip when you joined the group, so hello. I was very confused when I first read what you wrote, perhaps because there is no consistent convention in digests to show what is being commented on and what is comment. My hubby, who has been keeping up a bit more with the digests since our return, straightened me out on that one. At first I didn't know if the poem you were commenting on was the one in your post, but how could it be, since it had your copyright at the bottom. I went back and read Angelique's poem about Kali and am supposing now, from your comments that it was this poem to which you referred. Anyway, first, I am sad about the words you chose to use to speak to Angelique. Words are all we have in this world of relativity, and they do have meaning and impact. It is my belief that in poetry, words point, and folks head off with them in a variety of directions. In communication, I believe words have two basic affects ~ to connect or separate. My hope would be, in being part of a satsangha, that we would use words to connect, even if we are questioning one another. And... Senya also wrote: >> Don't make a statement unless you can back it up....otherwise it is opinion... << Hmmm. What I have written above concerning words is my opinion. I am aware in a kind of sidewards fashion that much has been going on in the past 20 years, academic and culturally, around linguistics, the use of words, deconstructing word-built paradigms, etc., but there is nothing useful I could site to back up my opinion. Again, it is my belief and hope that, in the context of satsangha, we would be sharing experiences and, in some cases, opinions. If these are not constructive activities for satsangha, I will have to defer to Harsha for more explication on the subject. ...and Sanya also wrote: >> "surrender"..."slave"..."bondage"....goodness girlfriend...brings up all kinds of juicy scenes.... And..awareness and cognition in themselves will usually do the trick << I had to go and read Angelique's poem several more times because of your comments. Within the context these words have in the poem, I did not get any of this "juicy scenes" content that you mention. And, given my history, which some here are familiar with, if anyone was going to read this kind of thing into it, or be triggered by it, it would have been me. Now your inference has created the "juicy scenes," and I am busy with my mental delete button. Oh well, I have responded somewhat inside out and backwards. Doug is in the kitchen singing one of my favorite Divine Mother songs. Ah...how wonderful. Thank you. Shanti ~ Linda
