>> (Wim) Humans don't know who they are, what anything is,

except for their concepts about who they are, what anything is.

(Wim) ...If you will fight you already fought.

If you could not have fought you would not have fought

(Tim)> You decide.

(Wim)You don't exist.

Okay...well, please excuse my adding the parens, but I have a

difficult enough time keeping it straight about who is responding to

whom. Okay, for the sake of philosophy and the Truth, I agree with

Wim's response to Tim. I also agree with Tim, for the sake of

practicality in the world of the Great Measurement...that there is

choice. Although my experience in Maya is that violence is both a

cause and an effect. I still have strong emotional/physical responses

to the sound of slamming doors or cabinets. In my home growing up,

this was a signal that some kind of really unpleasant/violent storm

was brewing. In my early twenties, though I consciously chose not to

replicate what I had seen and been subject to, I realized later that

I had, just differently, to a lesser degree perhaps.

I also believe that there is preverbal, preconceptial experience that

we, having human bodies, have/receive. Perhaps, somewhere in the

scientific literature about human development, there is something I

could cite for this, but I really don't have the time to go find it.

If I am sexually molested when I am two and a half (which I was), and

I have no memory (other than flashback fragments over the last 10

years), I have received something that I will, on some level,

remember and react to/about, before I am even able to name it. If I

am beaten with a belt when I am two, I will on some level

remember/react, before I am even able to name the experience.

We may not exist, but here we all are, having a conversation. I like

the quote I mentioned yesterday, so I will just say I am carrying

non-duality in my pocket while I (learn to) play with duality. Shanti
