Guest guest
>> I do not have a daily schedule of meditation, I do not know mantras, and have never read the book from which Victoria quotes from daily, have never sat and listened to a guru, nor was I raised in any kind of environment that does any of these things, and yet..................the voice of truth still speaks to me....one needs not change who they are to hear the voice... one only needs to listen. << Ah Lynette, now I must confess. I also do not have a daily meditation schedule. I agree whole heartedly with you about the voice of truth. I was reminded of this yesterday (I have mentioned this already, but will repeat it anyhow) during an unexpected visionary experience. I am alway reminded, and often it is not through any merit of my own that I can think of, that the voice is with me, even when I feel bereft and alone. When I am able to hear again, I am always gently reminded that it was I who had become absorbed, or turned away, or didn't pay attention. The shamanic path speaks powerfully to me. At the same time, since I am drawn to truth as it is spoken/portrayed by many different cultures, and what I find again and again is that the essential truth is just that, whatever the form in which it is clothed, whatever the voice with which it whispers, sings, chants, speaks. I must confess to loving mantras and Sanskrit, though I have no idea why. Perhaps it is due to being a musician and also an artist. There is something so compelling about a "thing" (for lack of a better word) that is both visual and linguistic...word and form. I am only now learning more about mantras and how they are formed of the bijas and how the bijas are the subtlest vibration(s) that represent all that is in the world of form. Waves and vibrations, we are afloat in Divine amniotic fluid (no idea why that association came to me). Ah, I babble.
