Dear Yeti,

:-)

take it easy but intensely :-)

is my solution

I would suggest just one evening

dedicated to the Self.

Spend an evening (a normal evening)

searching for the self that is experiencing that

evening.

I would be very interested in the results.

The fullness is not an issue

bring the attention to the 'experiencer'.

Just one evening of intense awareness . . .

.. . . it might provide the answer :-)

well Lobster,

i usually can't do evenings because days are so frenetic

round here, but did take your words to heart out at the beach today - in

the morning - Amelia-the-daughter and I had the whole beach to ourselves!

And it is a popular beach - a rocky beach - it was like a miracle.

the sun is not OUT per se around here, but it is aglow

behind the clouds and not raining. I sat on a log and the waters were lapping

- the sounds of the tides changing - the clanging of distant ship's bells,

the smell of the salt water and sea air.

I closed my eyes and grounded and let these inner pains

dissipate within the cool breezes. The warmth of the sun on the face, and

I really really did inquire "who is it herein - the 'me' whom is inquiring?"

There was a relative calm, but being somewhat familiar

with that 'me' from bygone daze of meditation (of sorts), I must say right

now that she is being a little brat because of the revisiting of past abuses

and the resulting rage. yes - the past is gone and all that is real is

*now* - but we actually do collect stuffed emotions in our muscles physically

and it does daunt our spirit until we release them.

The local community radio station here is like my sanctuary.

It used to be a church 80 years ago - now it sits in the heart of cruiseshipville.

There are 8000 people in this town, and there are about 8000 tourists a

day that visit here off cruiseships. So it is chaos.

AH, but the community radio station - usually it is just

a couple mega-cool people there, if any, and large shelves of the record

library and the CD libraries. It is rather dark and cool.

More than anywhere - that production room is sacrosanct

to me - you close the door, it is sound-proof and spacious enough to take

off your shoes and do the yoga and sit in the chair and run energies.

I thought of you(se guys) today - there is a group called

'gabrielle roth and the mirrors' and they have a CD entitled 'Refuge' which

is all Tibetan chants with rhythymic drumming and whatnot. It's very cool.

You know, eventually, when evenings are not equal to total

exhaustion, I *will* extend my awareness sessions. I think lately - on

top of just purging past hatefulness (which is very very hard on me right

now) also the over-amping of the energies from cruiseshipville congeal

to make "normal life' become undeniably maniacal at this time.

thankyou for your suggestions,

valerie
