>> Another nonsense is the notion that you can focus on 'your

kundalini and chakras' and make Her rise, as if she were an

insentient form of electricity. <<

Hi Senya :::waving::: I really liked the bit about two cars and a

risen kundalini. Sometimes I wonder at the myriad manifestations of

what Chogyum Trumpa named "spiritual materialism." Enlightenment,

enlightment, who's got the enlightment. Step right up, get your

enlightenment here. Anyhow...hmmm...when Amma is asked about

kundalina (or karma, or a variety of things), she says, "Don't be

bothered about it. Love God; live now." (Hmmm...I feel the beginning

of a rant...oh well, to continue...) This summer, when I was at

retreat with Shree Maa and Swami Saraswati, I heard and saw and

experienced so much. I am still sorting it out. During a discussion

period, Swami talked about kundalina. Now, thinking about that again,

I realize I have heard others (Swami Jyoti, for example) talk about

this in a similar way. Swami said that the image of kundalini resting

at the base of the spine is for convenience, an image to tweek our

remembering, not something to get us involved in self-focused, chakra

spinning, mind bending efforts to do this raising. He said, "Kundalini

is already raised; otherwise we would not be here at all. It is the

Energy that fires all of our engines. The only task is awareness. It

is not kundalini who is asleep. It is we who are." Anyhow, in light

of the words of many, including Ramana Maharshi, our task is always

one of waking up, remembering, coming to awareness. All that we Are

already is. Your ponderings on the topic brought this back to me, so

I share.

Shanti ~ Linda

Doncha just love it? :) Like an easter egg hunt...and the "emperor's

new clothes" and alice in wonderland at a mad hatter's teaparty. :)

while little grey men descend to carry everyone away to a new

paradigm...for a 'close encounter' with God.

The first commandment. The other nine are only footnotes.

I'm chuckling, cause I can so relate....

Yes!

Exactly! The awareness is something we move into...what is already

there. It is like the TV becoming aware of the plug in the

wall...that if it weren't plugged into...would have no awareness or

life in the first place. We are K. There is nothing that is not K.

But there are surges...like electricity.....that make us VERY aware

of what we are made of. As our body becomes used to it...the surges

feel normal...and we think we have regressed...but, we are just

normalizing until the next surge. Shakti has it all well in hand when

left to her own designs. Except for my first experience, it has been

a very gentle process for me. Relatively speaking. Hand in hand with

deep meditation and other things. Focusing on the One does this very

nicely...it is all that is required. Om-one pointed faith. Om-God.

Ham-sah...So-Ham

Perfectly said. It's about changing our perceptions...our senses..

(words are so lame sometimes)
