Do you think that you and Krishnamurti might have a *scoffing* at the more casual spiritual enquirerer in common? He - being raised by the mad Madame Bl. - to whom he would never hold a candle (nor would want to!) grew to see the outer "trappings" and ritual aspects of spirituality with a more jaundiced eye, and here I see the same in you! is this just my imagination? all my best, valerie

Thanks for the kind words, Val. Do you think that you and Krishnamurti might have a *scoffing* at the more casual spiritual enquirerer in common? I'd say that's true in that I have no more to to say to rote religionists or spirituality hobbyists than he apparently did. He - being raised by the mad Madame Bl. - to whom he would never hold a candle (nor would want to!) grew to see the outer "trappings" and ritual aspects of spirituality with a more jaundiced eye, and here I see the same in you! is this just my imagination? No, it isn't. all my best, valerie Much love -- Bruce http://come.to/realizationhttp://www.atman.net/realizationhttp://www.users.uniserve.com/~samuel/brucemrg.htmhttp://www.users.uniserve.com/~samuel/brucsong.htm
Guest guest
Bruce & Friends, Bruce, I hope the Mm.Blavatsky bit wasn't in your article, as Krishnamurti neither met that fascinating woman nor was raised by her. It's my guess that Mm.B was long dead before K was born, but it's my certain knowledge that K was raised by Annie Besant and Charles Leadbetter, known to his circle as CWL or Leadbetter. See "Krishnamurti: The Years of Awakkening" by Mary Luytens, who was literally raised along with K in her teenage years. yours in the bonds, eric , Bruce Morgen <editor@j...> wrote: > > > On Wed, 08 Aug 2001 22:49:07 -0700 v <akvalerian> writes: > Bruce Morgen wrote: > Just published at http://www.realization.org/: > "Meditation: The Sundering Of > Causality," by yours truly -- > here is the direct URL: > http://www.realization.org/page/doc0/doc0089.htm > > <snip> > <review> > Bruce - > a superb article written with your usual scintillating wit. > Thanks for the kind words, Val. > > Do you think that you and Krishnamurti might have a *scoffing* at the > more casual spiritual enquirerer in common? > I'd say that's true in that I > have no more to to say to rote > religionists or spirituality > hobbyists than he apparently > did. > > He - being raised by the mad Madame Bl. - to whom he would never hold a > candle (nor would want to!) grew to see the outer "trappings" and ritual > aspects of spirituality with a more jaundiced eye, and here I see the > same in you! > is this just my imagination? > No, it isn't. > > all my best, > valerie > > Much love -- Bruce > > > http://come.to/realization > http://www.atman.net/realization > http://www.users.uniserve.com/~samuel/brucemrg.htm > http://www.users.uniserve.com/~samuel/brucsong.htm
