Guest guest
Namaste All, IMO the problem with the term 'realisation', particularly among those that don't follow a sadhana, is that it could mean many things. Some think the realisation that all is one, is liberation. Many verbal non dualists think it is something to achieve through thinging and verbalisation without purification. Vndists. Buddha talks of several layers of trance, Ramana talks of several layers of samadhi, the Sufis talk of different States. Apart from this people can experience temperory unity and even have a peak experience, this doesn't mean liberation. One can have a feeling of unity with the group human mind. Or the group, mammalian mind, or animal mind, or the general mind of all vegetable llfe or even the planetary mind. Or temporary unity with the akashik mind etc. All these are temporary and not liberation. Liberation is no mind at all, just Nirguna Brahman, even if the residual body is part of universal energy. If one would like to get an inkling into what a mindless state is, then I would suggest. " No mind I am the Self", by David Godman, based on the teachings of Sri Lakshmana Swamy, and Mathru Sri Sarada. ONS......Tony.
