Guest guest
Dear Jody, I've been writing on and off to Tony now, for three years. He won't give up, he won't let up. In a way... he won't let you down either. It could be that his function is to act like an abrasive..., his grit is getting finer though. Whoever responds to him will get more polished over time. Don't let him down by giving up on him... Problem is the more we tug at his bones... the more he bites into them. He's got bones to pick and bones to chew. He must have some kind of overbite by now... His bite is worse than his bark though, that used to be the other way around years ago, not sure if that is an improvement. Actually it is... Hope he is not reading this, he will be so proud that we pay such attention to him, he thrives on that... Love him to bits and bites... Wim --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Guest guest
Dear Tony, Why don't you just give up Tony, it is a perfect dreary day in the Pacific North West, just the right day for you to do that... > Actually I have been through my purely bhakti stage sometime ago. > I have had all my kickings I hope. You've have had are you kickings? What about your lickings? > AS a result I now hold to the fact that all creation is > a projected illusion in physics and in spirituality. How can something be "a fact to hold to," while that fact, as you say, consists of illusion? And what do you mean by "illusion IN physics and IN spirituality?" Don't come with your usual excuse of poor language skills now... No, leave it, don't even try.... You will complicate matters even more. > In the meantime, 'Somewhere there is a dream, dreaming us. > ' Ko San Bushman saying of the Kalahari Desert in S. Africa It does not matter what anybody says, Tony... You are no more than a very selective quoter and a paraphraser... Why aren't you, as you say, a jivanmukti ? You want to know what's holding you up...? Exactly "that" what you are doing right now, "that" is holding you up. Loving you, Wim --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Guest guest
Hi Jody, I've enjoyed reading your clear and well-written explanations all through this thread. >I suppose I'm hitting my head against a wall, but I was once >very much a Tony. Then Kali kicked my ass up and down the block >for a few years, and finally some Truth seeped in the cracks >She left in my skull. > >Maybe our Tony will be fortunate enough to be blessed this way. >It's gonna take one hell of a beating to dislodge the crap he >has floating around in that nonexistent mind of his. I don't think there's much point to discussing these things with Tony, except for expressing alternative views for the sake of the rest of the list. I don't think it's all about words and ideas and which are right and wrong and whether anyone is convinced or not.... I think it's about the ego/personality's fear of the awful immensity that waits on the other side of that barrier of mental crap. It's all a big ego defense, and the more words, the better - the more argument, the better - it keeps that wall strong and firm. If you really were a Tony, I'll bet it wasn't words that got you past it. ) Love, Dharma
