Guest guest
Tony: You obviously spend a great amount of time judging and blasting the beliefs and thoughts of others. You judge SYDA yoga to have been "destructive" to people's lives I would like to know what is "constructive" about your negative and critical postings? For all of your "knowledge" you seem to be still looking for or expecting perfection from the "form" of spiritual organizations - for that cherished belief you have my compassion. I have read the article in New York magazine and also know someone who is in personal relationship with the author of that article. The author claims that the truth of the experience was not actually reflected in the article as the editor had definite thoughts are what was to be portrayed. I have also been to the anti Syda yoga website and have allowed myself the opportunity to experience Syda activities as I prefer to experience both sides of something before I jump to any conclusions. In the end Syda comes out the same as any spiritual path that has become a religion... a spiritual truth that is now in a form consistent with life on a human level. Perhaps the time has come for you to either form your own perfect religion or just accept the fact that once spiritual truth becomes religious form there will be imperfections with gems of truth beneath the imperfections. The quest then becomes one of taking the gems and moving along without the support of religious dogma or intellectual superiority. Perhaps you are afraid of taking the leap without the mental support of your intellectual belief system? What is apparent to most of us on this list is that your views are generally tainted with anger and your rationale is always from the intellect of your own ego. It may be time for you to turn your radar within and leave others to take what they may from whatever system or teaching they have found helpful. Guest guest
Hello Everyone. Just got back into town. As many know, Sri Lindaji is a long term practitioner of various forms of yoga, a teacher of yoga and meditation and a valued member of this Sangha. Her experience and maturity are reflected in the depth of her insights about situations and people. Recently as I was catching up with the e-mail, it surprised me to see a post by Sri Tonyji using Sri Linda's daughter in a hypothetical example to make a point about what Sri Tony considers to be abusive gurus. This was in extremely poor taste and completely inconsistent with the spirit of the Sangha of showing mutual respect for each other. As human beings, all of us are prone to mistakes and lapses in judgment. We ask Sri Tonyji to reflect on his comments and how they are directed at others and the impact they can have. When I make such a mistake and become aware of the consequences, I find that a sincere apology helps to heal the wounds. Comments which are highly personal and not directed at the thoughts in the post (but the poster) often create tension which is not helpful in a dialogue. To be fair, I have noted many personal comments directed at Sri Tonyji as well in the past for his holding certain views. Sri Janji recently pointed out "guru exposes" are not part of the list charter or mission. There are many other lists on the internet devoted to that. At we usually refrain from censoring people from expressing their perspective and thoughts on the spiritual path and depend on the common sense and the self-moderation of the members. However, it is expected that members understand the spirit of the Sangha and the value of mutual support, fellowship, and friendship. Members who have other agendas should find internet outlets more suitable for their energy and creativity. Thanks and love to all Harsha LC [jyotish (AT) warwick (DOT) net]Sent: Thursday, August 30, 2001 9:16 AMTo: Subject: Re: Re: Gurumayi and Siddha Yoga and Tony's ogoing tirades Tony: You obviously spend a great amount of time judging and blasting the beliefs and thoughts of others.
