Guest guest
>> Sankara also said Bhaja Govindam but then look at the audience. He was setting examples for lesser aware people to follow. << Oh for goodness sake. On the other hand, I appreciate all of this for taking my mind off of the fact that my entire family is not speaking to me, a significant lesson in surrendering. Surely it is a human trait to want to have the last word, but I wonder if Shankara would have characterized/judged people as letter aware, more aware, moderately aware. I have always been drawn to eastern spirituality traditions, in part because this type of judgement and weighing/dividing people up is absent. (Of course, I know about the rajasic, tamasic, and sattvic types...but this, I believe is a bit different.) "Lesser aware" indicates an evaluation, and while saints and sages may be well aware of a person's position on the evolutionary path, I have not come across any that would point a finger at them, evaluate them, or condem them. I am hoping that, as I read on in this post, this last comment will have been the end of this. Let's get back to sharing our own experiences with one another, shall we?
