>> DON’T DIE AGAIN

I am a man

Who knows the ten thousand positions of

Divine love...

Say it brother,

O, say the divine Name, dear sister,

Silently as you walk.

Don’t die again

With that holy ruby mine inside

Still unclaimed >>

When you could be swinging

A golden pick with Each

Step.

(“The Gift†– versions of Hafiz by Daniel Ladinsky)

Hi Gloria ~ ah, well, reading this digest and the previous one, a song

I wrote many years ago has been running through my mind like a river.

Reading this beautiful poem, the song became louder. I believe I am

supposed to share it with the group. Here it is. :::strumming guitar,

key of D::: (Shanti ~ Linda)

Mind of the One

What is in the Mind of the One?

It's the Wind that lifts your sails

when the journey has begun.

It's the Water that holds you safe

and carries you home,

and you never will come to any harm.

What is in the Mind of the One?

It's the Center

in the middle of the storm.

And even though your little boat

is tattered and worn,

you never will come to any harm.

Chorus

You are held in the Mind of the One;

you are rocked in a cradle of loving concern.

And all your nightmares will vanish in the dawn;

they will vanish in the dawn.

What do you see when you're sailing along?

Do you only see the darkness

or the promise of the dawn?

You don't know where you're going,

so you cling to where you've gone,

but you never will come to any harm.

What is in the Mind of the One?

It's the Shore that beckons;

it's the Waves you sail upon.

It's everything you've left behind

and all that calls you home,

and you never will come to any harm.

Chorus

You are held in the Mind of the One;

you are rocked in a cradle of loving concern.

And all your nightmares will vanish in the dawn;

they will vanish in the dawn.

What is in the Mind of the One?

It's the Star that guides you

until the morning comes.

It's the song in your heart that sings,

"you are not alone."

And you never will come to any harm.

Chorus

You are held in the Mind of the One;

you are rocked in a cradle of loving concern.

And all your nightmares will vanish in the dawn;

they will vanish in the dawn.

Oh, they will vanish when the morning comes,

with the first golden rays of the sun.

So lift your voice in joyful song;

you are held in the Mind of the One.

:::faint tinkling of light fingerpicking on the guitar...fading out...:::

Dear Linda,

Thanks for your beautiful song. I just emailed you a talksender site,

so if you have a microphone on your computer, you can record singing

and send it here as email. The software you need to download goes

fast.

If anyone wants to just talk, or read a poem, it would be fun to hear

people's voices. I'll send the info to the whole list.

SOOO glad you are back!

Gloria
