Guest guest
>> I recently read of a 'new" teacher-psychologist who posits that the first birth after someone takes their final initiation they are born into an abusive family with which they can have nothing important in common, so as not to become distracted. << Ah, Eric...what balm to a heart that seems torn by too much hiking about in the brambles. I am still working hard at not being distracted (and having recently become very distracted and reactivated to my historic role in my family as the black sheep ~ no one is speaking to me currently), but it would be wonderful to think that what you say might be true. Since Jill mentioned Amma in her welcome back to me, I will share, for those who do not know of this, that Amma was not born to enlightened parents, in the context of the post (although she was blue, like Krishna, when born, with feet in lotus position and hands in mudras). Her parents were very abusive to her, they thought she was crazy because of her spiritual inclinations and devotion to God. Oh well... perhaps we really are all just bozos on the bus.
