Well...awk...I just looked up my reference and discovered I am not thinking of any Krishnamurti, but of Ramakrishna, the 19th century saint. But isn't or wasn't there also a J. Krishnamurti who was very revered. Perhaps Harsha, you can help clear up my confusion. Shanti ~ Linda
Guest guest
Hi Linda, U.G. Krishnamurti and J. Krishnamurti are two different people. They are not related biologically. Krishnamurti is a common name in India. U.G. is the younger of the two and for a time followed J. Krishnmurti around. These two were not into the worship of the Divine Mother. Ramakrishna Parmahansa, a Kali devotee belongs to a different school and is widely revered in India. He was the Guru of Swami Vivekananda who later came to America and preached Vedanta. There is much literature on all three figures. Paths, places, sights, perceptions, and indeed all experiences arise from and exist in and subside back into the Space of Awareness. Like waves rising are not different than the ocean, all things arising from Awareness are of the nature of Awareness. Awareness does not come and go but is always Present. It is Home. Home is where the Heart Is. Jnanis know the Heart to be the Finality of Eternal Being. A true devotee relishes in the Truth of Self-Knowledge, spontaneously arising from within into It Self.
