Guest guest
You are of course right and I shouldn't get too upset when people tout their gurus, I did when I was still in the 'True believer mindset'. However I wish someone had pointed out some obvious problems much earlier. Poof! Your wish has been granted! People have been pointing out obvious *problems* early in the game here... not about your previous external *Guru* that you followed, but about your inner *Guru* you follow. What makes you think you would have listened then? I have nothing against the siddha tradition, only against people who betray it because they cannot control their impulses and molest people that's all. I'm afraid my definition of Ahimsa is different from yours, yours if you pardon me saying so is very politically correct. To me people who tout cults and certain gurus are just as responsible for the psychological damage and molestations that take place. Gurus who have clouds over their heads like sai baba and muktananda, and the evidence and testimonials is overwhelming, shouldn't be touted. For it is obvious that many on these lists are pretty vulnerable. So to me protection of the innocent is more important than pc. http://www.ex-cult.org/Groups/SYDA-Yoga/leave.txt If they didn't tout then I wouldn't shout!!! I know I attract criticism but a lot of others get away with verbal abuse and insults to my person, much more personal than I. Your silence on this is deafening. I have broad shoulders, so I don't care it is the double standard that makes me think. If you are a medium of no censorship, then you should also be a medium of preventing harm. Like vulnerable people falling into cults from people touting on your list. This is blunt but in good faith, for you are aware as I am, to the vulnerability of westerners particularly Americans to this kind of manipulation. Conning Indians in India is much more difficult. Tony, if you really wanna make a difference in the world for the better regarding this issue, it all starts with you. If wiping out lousy guru's from the face of the earth is what you would love do, which it seems it is something you would love to do, then you have to do it! You gotta start off smaller tho... even smaller than this large list or the internet -- it won't get you where you want to be, as you have seen, because you are not ready. Right now, you are not a Master of this great endeavor... you just began not too long ago! You gotta sweep the floors of the ashram first -- can't start off Guru/Master (of wiping out lousy gurus from the face of the earth), as much as you would love to I am sure. Wouldn't we all. Start small and you will discover how big small really is. Start with you and your own present Guru. Wipe that bastard guru off the face of the earth! That should take care of the whole. Being that he is the list owner, this is ultimately Harsha's house. He was indeed treading lightly, which could be called "fancy footwork" by someone who prefers the stomp of hobnail boots, but a polite suggestion is not "a cop out" -- you might be better advised to look at it as "a way out" instead! Tony, I can assure you that I am every bit as outspoken as you are, but when I visit some place with posted rules I either manage to comply or I go elsewhere. Is there any particular reason why you don't simply do the same, as per Harsha's suggestions? http://come.to/realization http://www.atman.net/realization http://www.users.uniserve.com/~samuel/brucemrg.htm http://www.users.uniserve.com/~samuel/brucsong.htm ______________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
