>> To me people who tout cults and certain gurus are just as

responsible for the psychological damage and molestations that take

place. Gurus who have clouds over their heads like sai baba and

muktananda, and the evidence and testimonials is overwhelming,

shouldn't be touted. For it is obvious that many on these lists are

pretty vulnerable. <<

:::tearing hair::: Ah, Tony...are speaking with reverence of and

touting the same thing? Where is the line to be drawn? If protection

is needed, just invite people to pay attention to their own

intuition. They will know when something feels wrong. Most adults are

smart enough to know that molestation is not a trait a revered teacher

would exhibit, and if they saw any tendency in that direction they

would run. The possible exception to this would be people, such as

myself, who have been sexually and/or physically abused. Some will

abuse power. My experience is that most who teach love, do not, for

that would be at odds with their teaching of love. Here are some

words from Ammachi on the subject (and nice of her, don't you think,

to put this out very directly):

"A satguru will always set an example for his disciples. A true

master, even though he is beyond all laws and limitations, must

strictly adhere to moral and ethical values. Only then will he be an

example to others. If the guru says, "Look, I am beyond everything,

and therefore I can do whatever I like; simply obey me and do as I

tell you," this will only harm the disciple. A true master will never

do such things."

(Amritanandam magazine, fourth quarter 1997)

>> Greetings fellow avatars,

This is your new guru hamanzeeananda. I am of a long line of gurus

that come to give you the message.

'Do as I say not do as I do.'

....

When I visit your great country with mention of god on your money and

freemasonic symbols on the other side. I will teach you the tantra of

kundalini initiation in the flesh, for I have the book. Send your

daughters so they can join the circle with my helpers for diksha.

This is totally frowned on in India but you guys know no different...

I am ready to leave my cave soon. I have to have a garage sale to get

rid of my TV, Stereo, Generator and Playboy magazines

etc....Humanzeeananda.

Dear Tony ~ this made me feel like crying. I am sorry you have such a

need to bash others' spiritualty, and that you do it without ceasing

and with crudeness. I would say please "cease and disist," but I know

it will do no good as you have not responded to any feedback,

including the guidelines for this group. This rant of yours hits

close to home; it sounds very much like the way my family is treating

me. Please stop. ~ Linda
