Relabeling that as "spiritual" or "tendency" won't change it. What is a temptation for one isn't for another and what isn't a temptation can become one through vows and suppression. And you have been living with saints at talking distance - your relatives who had to put up with what for some at this group has reached or exceeded the limit of what is tolerable. I've known quite a few who would have killed me for far less and apparently your relatives still love you... For me, that does as a "definition" of sainthood, not the recitation of scriptures...
