Guest guest
Dear Dharma and Greg (htrh), You haven't heard from me lately because I have been deeply engrossed in the lives of Nero, Archie, Fritz, etc. I have already checked out and read nearly all of the available copies at the local library and am considering a trip to the next town for more! What is happening to me?! One of the books _Trouble in Triplicate_ had three stories in one. I must be reading too much too quickly because partway through the second story I was patting myself on the back thinking I had actually figured out what was going to happen. I thought Nero and Archie had forgotten about the lady up in the orchid rooms, only to realize that she had been up there in the previous tale, by gum! (Anyway, they have yet to succumb to such an error.) Another story started out by saying that this one fellow came into Nero's office on the same day that he stopped a bullet. Well I thought that that meant he had _prevented_ a murder. So you can imagine my surprise when he was suddenly killed at the end! Thank you, I think?, for turning me on to these. I must admit, they have kept me out of (some) trouble.... Love to you both, Kheyala P.S. Greg, I'm still with you...._The Doorbell Rang_ is indeed my favorite so far. Have you found it yet, Dharma? It will leave you wearing a huge smile!
Guest guest
Hi Kheyala, >You haven't heard from me lately because I have been deeply engrossed in >the lives of Nero, Archie, Fritz, etc. I have already checked out and >read nearly all of the available copies at the local library and am >considering a trip to the next town for more! What is happening to me?! Whatever it's called, I know it well! ))) Periodically, I pull down a Wolfe book and check to see if it's been long enough - and start rereading them all! )) > One of the books _Trouble in Triplicate_ had three stories in one. >I must be reading too much too quickly because partway through the second >story I was patting myself on the back thinking I had actually figured >out what was going to happen. Not likely. > Another story started out by saying that this one fellow came into >Nero's office on the same day that he stopped a bullet. Well I thought >that that meant he had _prevented_ a murder. It will leave you >wearing a huge smile! Nope, haven't been doing much, just getting over a virus. But I did stop by a bookstore one day. No Wolfe books, but I brought home four by Elliott Roosevelt. Not a bad writer - I like them especially because the "detective" is Eleanor Roosevelt, and the author is her son. I enjoy reading his memories of his parents and people they knew. Love, Dharma
