Light on the Path

Bob.. lovely painting.. radiant road.. interesting title. I am moved

to share these words from a book by the same title. It was one of the

first useful books (Theosophical Press) I found, after light forever

altered my path. It quickens me as much today as it did in 1968 (when

I was able to purchase it for $1.95!).

 

12th Aphorism from _Light on the Path_ written down by Mabel Collins, 1888:

 

"For within you is the light of the world - the only light that can be

shed upon the Path. If you are unable to perceive it within you, it is

useless to look for it elsewhere. It is beyond you; because when you

reach it you have lost yourself. It is unattainable, because it

forever recedes. You will enter the light, but you will never touch

the flame."

It is really great for me the way you and others have responded to

this painting. Their are a lot of artists on this list and the

feedback was very much appreciated.

Gloria said she would put some more of my work in the next magazine.

Doing art has brought me through a lot of life's problems. I love

art.

Dear Bob,

 

I have to join in the voices speaking of your painting. It was simply

beautiful. The light on the path, and especially the mauvey light,

moved me. I could walk there and commune with the Beloved.
