Guest guest
We wish to welcome the new members such as Sri Bob and Sri Eric and Sri Dick and Sri Diana, Sri Dev, Sri Antoine and others and we welcome Sri TG, Sri Christiana, and Sri Linda and Sri Paul and many others back to the Sangha after an absence. Also, I noticed Sri Hollyji posted several time recently. Holly is a retired psychologist and she once mentioned to us that doing psychotherapy on her patients put her in the witness state so often over the years that finally her Kundalini woke up. Her article on Kundalini is on the HS website. Thank everyone for your presence here. Recently, there has been much discussion and appreciation of art and Sri Bobji has also sent his beautiful paintings to the list. We have many artists here. As many know, Jill Eggers is a professor of Art at a university and has been with HS since its early beginnings. There are many painters here as well. It is expected that in a spiritual fellowship there would be many musicians and artists as the Shakti gives the gifts and even energizes and enhances them. One of the major aspects of the Goddess is known as Sarswati or MahaSarswati, the Goddess of Wisdom. Those touched by Her become eloquent in poetry, music, art, and their words have the power to inspire and heal. Many of the great mystics like Kabir, Jnanaeshwar, Tulsidas, Kalidas, Rumi, Hafiz, have also been great poets. Sages have said that in this tree of life, all fruits are bittersweet except two. Satsangha and meditation on the Self are two fruits which are sweet only. We have come together in friendship with no expectations other than sharing our understanding, wisdom, and love in fellowship. To find such company one feels fortunate. Thank you Wim (your brilliant sage/scientist you! :-), Tim, and Jan and Mace (wonderful pictures and beautiful words) for your recent sharing. I love what you contributed recently Tim. "People are like stained glass windows. They glow and sparkle when it's sunny; but when the sun goes down their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light within." Thanks you Kheyala for your bright and sunny disposition (Eric thought you were a man! :-). And thank you Mazie for your lovely posts. They called you Crazy Mazie when you were growing up. That has such a sweet sound to it. Thank you for such positive energy and words of encouragement for everyone. And I hope Hamsa Yogini or Yogini Shakti (Have you decided what to be called), you are starting to become familiar with the list culture. There is much diversity here. Thanks Gloria for sharing the quotes. In the last one, there was music. Can you mention on the list how that is done. Thank you Dharma for your common sense and wisdom. You are fountain of knowledge. Many may not know of your in-depth background in many different types of yogas and meditation. Same is true of Sri Gregji as well although he is very modest. Thank you also Linda (Jyotish) our resident astrologer for bearing with us recently when a list member used inappropriate language to make his points. Satsangha is clearly not a place for everyone. I am sorry if there was any hurt caused by that incident. Thank you John, Bob, Eric, Mace, Mark, Lynnette, Yogi..Cy (Dev Saroop Singh), Jacques, Andrew, Linda, Amanda, David, Dirk, Anna, Bruce, Gloria, Jill, Jerry, James, Greg, Jody, Hillary, Mazie, MarkW, MarkO, Mike, James, Dan, Gary, Holly, TG, Christiana, Gene, Christopher, Tony, and others for your support of the Sangha through both silence and words. Hope I did not forget anyone. God bless all with joy and peace. Harsha
Guest guest
Hello Harsha and all, Do you need a new history from this new Sri Antoine? If I am new here I don't have any history... With Joy New A quote on the way, OM is the elevation to totality. HUM is the descent from totality into the deepness of the heart. Hum may not exist without OM. But Hum is more than OM: it is the path of the middle that does not lose itself in the limited nor in the infinite, it is not attached to neither one of those extremes. Its why it is said: "In the darkness are those who venerate the world (knowledge of what is limited); in even deeper darkness are those who venerate only the infinite. The one who welcomes within one and the other redeem him/herself from death from its knowledge of the limited, and from its knowledge of the infinite reaches immortality. (Isa Upanishad, influenced by an interpretation of Rabindranath Tagore). Taken From The foundation of Tibetan Mysticism by Lama anagarika Govinda. http://antoinecarre.com/symbols/HUM.htm - Harsha Tuesday, September 04, 2001 7:18 PM Thanks and Welcome We wish to welcome the new members such as Sri Bob and Sri Eric and Sri Dickand Sri Diana, Sri Dev, Sri Antoine and others and we welcome Sri TG, SriChristiana, and Sri Linda and Sri Paul and many others back to the Sanghaafter an absence.
